This Privacy Policy explains how Raising Different Together (“RDT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information through raisingdifferenttogether.com and our related advocacy services.

1. Who we are

Raising Different Together is a parent-led educational advocacy service operated by Danielle and Casey. We serve parents and caregivers throughout the United States. Questions about this policy may be sent to Hello@raisingdifferenttogether.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly. We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, scheduling information, billing information, messages, service selections, and other information you choose to provide through website forms, email, Calendly, Stripe, or other communications.

Client records. When you purchase advocacy services, you may choose to submit educational, disability-related, medical, behavioral, school, or family records concerning your child. These records may include evaluations, IEPs, Section 504 plans, correspondence, meeting notes, progress reports, and related documents. We request only records reasonably relevant to the service you purchased.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. RDT does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. Stripe may collect and process payment and billing information under its own privacy terms.

Scheduling and file-transfer information. Calendly may process information used to schedule appointments. ShareFile may process records and account information submitted through our designated file-upload process.

Technical information. Our website and hosting providers may automatically collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, cookie identifiers, and security or server logs.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, including pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, referral sources, and interactions with website content. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies. Where consent is required, Analytics will not be activated until you allow statistics cookies through our cookie-consent banner. You may withdraw or change your selection at any time through the website’s consent preferences.

3. How we use information

Provide, personalize, and administer the services you request.

Review submitted records and prepare notes, documents, correspondence, recommendations, or other advocacy materials.

Schedule calls, communicate with you, respond to questions, and provide service updates.

Process payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and eligible refunds.

Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website and services.

Maintain business, tax, transaction, and service records.

Comply with applicable law, enforce our agreements, and protect clients, RDT, and others.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate, including WordPress and website-hosting providers, Stripe, Calendly, ShareFile, email providers, and analytics or security providers that we choose to enable. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, safety, or property; investigate misuse or fraud; obtain professional advice; or complete a business reorganization or transfer. We do not contact your child’s school, providers, attorneys, or other third parties about your matter unless you authorize us or disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.

5. Sensitive records and security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No website, email system, payment service, or file-transfer method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use the designated ShareFile upload process for sensitive records and do not send sensitive documents through ordinary email unless we specifically instruct you to do so.

RDT is an educational advocacy service, not a healthcare provider or health plan. Do not assume that ordinary communications with RDT are protected by attorney-client privilege or by health-information laws that may apply to covered healthcare entities.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain transaction and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect legitimate interests. Retention periods vary with the type of information and the circumstances of the client matter. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely archive it.

7. Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults, parents, guardians, and caregivers—not for children to use independently. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. A parent or legal guardian may provide information about a child when requesting services. If you believe a child submitted information directly without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and address it.

8. Cookies and analytics

The website and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for core functionality, security, preferences, payment, scheduling, and measurement. You can adjust cookie controls in your browser, although blocking essential cookies may affect website functions. If we add nonessential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by applicable law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link provided in the message or by contacting us. Our website may link to third-party websites and services. RDT does not control and is not responsible for their privacy, security, availability, or content. Review their policies before providing information.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, tools, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect. Material changes may also be announced on the website or by another reasonable method.
